Da Darling!!!

Karl Lagerfeld is a fashion GOD! His Chanel's "Paris-Moscow" ready-to-wear collection is completely ambrosial. Pulling inspiration from Russian folklore and the years of Russian Imperialism he has effortlessly raised the bar. Respectfully as the face for this campaign Russian supermodel Sasha Pivovarova embodies any Byzantine empress. With elaborate headdresses, intricate designs and luxurious fabrics it’s almost ironic that the accessories steal the show. Pearls, chiffon, fur and intricate jewels echo the forgotten past of a time filled with opulence and grandeur.

Lagerfeld makes his directorial debut with a short silent film that pays homage to Gabrielle Coco Chanel's fascination with the city of Moscow. Because of popular demand and along with the Moscow Arts Festival he will be putting on an encore show on May 29th at the Maly Theater in Moscow. Hmm now how much is a ticket to Moscow?

Check out the videos below and the 2009 collectioon.
